A Purpose Born from the Heart

Almost 19 years ago, something began that I never imagined would grow so much.
One day an abandoned animal appeared that needed help… then another… and another. Over time I understood that this was not simply a momentary act of compassion, but a responsibility that life had placed in my path.
That is how what is now Paraíso Atardecer Enia y Mateo A.C. was born.
Throughout these years we have rescued dogs, cats, and even chickens living in conditions of abandonment, providing them with veterinary care, rehabilitation, nourishment, and above all the opportunity to trust humans again. After their recovery, we work to find them loving homes where they can live with dignity and care.
Today we care for an average of 35 dogs and 25 cats under permanent protection.
This refuge has been sustained over the years primarily through my work in real estate. Part of what we build professionally also helps sustain this mission.
We have chosen not to operate as a traditional open-donation shelter, as we want to avoid the project becoming a place where people simply leave more animals. Our goal is to maintain a responsible model that allows us to truly care for every animal we rescue.
We also made an important decision: to rely on dedicated staff rather than depending exclusively on volunteers, which allows us to ensure continuous care, proper health protocols, and real rehabilitation processes.
For us, every rescued animal represents a life beginning again.
Over the years, I realized that our purpose could go even further.
Today we are beginning the creation of a development center for young people within the autism spectrum and with mild intellectual disabilities.
Our goal is to build a space where they can connect with others who share similar experiences, discover their talents, develop skills, and strengthen their self-esteem.
The objective is not only to support them, but to help them build emotional and economic independence.
The project will integrate tools such as:
• multisensory stimulation (Snoezelen)
• exercises to improve coordination and neuroplasticity
• physical activities, dance and music
• spaces for personal development and social interaction
• discovery of talents and practical skills
Beyond any specific technique, our central purpose is to transform the way they face life’s challenges.
We want each young person to understand that obstacles are not definitive walls, but paths where there is always an alternative, a solution, a possibility.
To learn to think and feel from a place of “yes, it is possible.”

Animals teach us unconditional love.
Life gives us extraordinary opportunities.
Our mission is simply to give a small part of that back to the world.
That is why when someone trusts us to buy or sell a property, that trust also helps sustain these causes.
Because in the end, the most valuable businesses are those that also create impact.
“Our work builds homes; our purpose builds hope.”
If anyone wishes to support this cause and contribute to the care of rescued animals or to the development of our center for neurodivergent youth, any support will be deeply appreciated.
Contributions go directly toward food, veterinary care, rehabilitation, and the development of these social initiatives.
